About
Jovan Sàles is a cinematographer whose lens has captured the human spirit in every corner of the globe. With over 20 years of experience behind the camera, his work spans all seven continents — from documenting endangered wildlife in Africa to following survivalists deep in the Arctic.
As a Director of Photography and FAA-certified drone operator, Jovan's camera work has shaped some of television's most visually compelling docu-series, including National Geographic Explorer, Survivor, Do Not Attempt with David Blaine, and The Last Rhinos: A New Hope.
Whether embedded with conservation teams or navigating extreme terrain for National Geographic and Discovery Channel, Jovan brings both technical mastery and emotional intelligence to his craft. His storytelling is grounded in empathy, adventure, and a deep respect for people and the planet.
What sets Jovan apart is not just his skill with a camera, but his belief in storytelling as a force for good — using his platform to highlight voices that are often unheard: cultures on the edge of change, wildlife on the brink of extinction, and communities redefining resilience.
